Since the purchase of Saranac Village, a Young Life camp on Upper Saranac Lake, in 1969, Young Life has been in the Adirondack mountains. In the 1980's Young Life work began in local communities. Throughout the years, Young Life work has encompassed different communities throughout the tri-lake area (Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, and Lake Placid). Since the pandemic, we have focused our efforts on Wyldlife (our ministry to students in grades 6-8) in Saranac Lake. We have had steady growth over the past few years and recently hired a new Young Life Student Staff! Our plans for the next few years involve growing the work to encompass both Young Life (grades 9-12) in Saranac Lake High School as well as the Lake Placid area.
